Home Office Design in 1930s Look

Antique French postal desk, originally used for sorting mail circa 1930, has been faithfully replicated, down to the broad leather-topped work surface and swing-out stool. In its 21st-century incamation, it becomes a distinctive and eminently practical option for the home office. Leather-clad desk is topped with 25 perforated-metal cubbies. A leather-cushioned stool pivots out and tucks away beneath the desk. Cubby unit detaches from desk. Desk has a single drawer and a low shelf to hold most computer hard drives. This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Designed to capture a rustic, timeworn look. Colour differences and distress marks speak to the character of the item. Natural steel plates of 1930s French postal desk at Restoration Hardware have a coated finish that won't rust.
