Desk with Mid-Century Design

With one look at Primary Desk (2010), it's clear that this design has sleek lines. With a nod toward the mid-century furniture, the desk has five drawers, three in the top shelf and two in the desktop. There are no ornamental drawer pulls to distract while working. Instead, designer shaped the drawer fronts to have tabs like those that can be found in a notebook, which make the drawers easy to open and close. The fronts of the small drawers are also angled to allow for the pitch of an open laptop. A well thought and fully resolved desk concept, primary desk at Design Within Reach is designed by designer Nathan Yong.
